JC Hurtado-Prater is a speaker, educator, author and founder + principal at Cannonball, a leadership and workforce development firm specializing in corporate training solutions, team coaching and producing global conferences and retreats nfor leaders and organizational teams. 


JC, a veteran of the United States Army, is deeply involved in his local community, serving on the board of directors for South Bay Community Services, the Chancellor’s Community Advisory Board for the University of California, San Diego, Southwestern College Foundation and Thrivent Regional Network board of directors. Additionally, JC travels as a member of the Los Angeles Chargers Outreach Team, speaking to local incarcerated youths in the Southern California region. Passionate about education, JC also teaches as an adjunct professor at the Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University and the Azusa Pacific University School of Business and Management. 


JC is a graduate of UCLA with an MBA from Saint Joseph's College and is currently working towards a Doctor of Business Administration at the DeVoe School of Business at Indiana Wesleyan University. JC, a father of three daughters, makes his home in San Diego, CA and spends his free time reading, working out, hiking and kayaking.
